What is Litter?
Litter is rubbish or waste that has not been disposed of correctly such as:
- Cigarette butts
- Fast food packaging and empty wrappers
- Bottles and cans
- Paper and cardboard
- Drug litter
- Glass
Litter makes °¬˛ćAƬ look untidy and pollutes our local area. It ruins the environment, endangers our wildlife and costs the taxpayer money.

Litter Fines
Enforcement Officers will issue a fixed penalty notice of ÂŁ125 if you are seen littering.
If you have received a fine, payment is accepted as follows:

- Cheque/postal order to The Frontline Enforcement Team, The General Offices, Steelworks Road, Ebbw Vale, Gwent. NP23 6AA
- Bank Transfer to:

You have 14 days to pay the fixed penalty notice. The fine will reduce to ÂŁ100 if you pay within this time. If you do not pay, further action will be taken through the Magistrates Court.
You cannot appeal a Fixed Penalty Notice. If you disagree, you should attend court and a Magistrate will decide if it has been issued correctly.
