All new employees will receive Departmental and Corporate Inductions. The format of these will vary according to the nature of the role you have been appointed to.
E-learning
The Council has an which has lots of training and development resources for staff. It is available from any internet-enabled device and automatically adapts to laptops, tablets and smartphones so can be accessed at your convenience on a device of your choosing.
Probationary Period
New entrants to the Authority’s service will be subject to a six months probationary period, at the end of which, subject to a satisfactory report by the Manager, you will receive written confirmation of your appointment. In certain circumstances, the period may be extended where individuals have not demonstrated their suitability for the post.
