Road and Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (40.M.P.H Speed Limit) Order
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that °¬˛ćAƬ County Borough Council in exercise of their powers propose that in accordance with the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England & Wales) Regulations 1996 and the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), as amended, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and be:
1. To introduce a reduced 40mph speed limit on that length of road specified in schedule1 to this notice.
2. Roads either side of that length of road specified in schedule 1, will retain the existing 50mph speed limits.
Documents giving more details of the proposals are available on the °¬˛ćAƬ County Borough website and will be so until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published. They will include copies the proposed Schedules and Maps indicating the lengths of road to which the proposed Orders relates, together with the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the amendments to the Orders.
Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing with any comments on the engagement of the proposals to

The County Borough Council will consider representations received in response to this Notice.
