Supported Living Service
°¬˛ćAƬ Supported Living Service is part of °¬˛ćAƬ County Borough Council Social Services Department and has been in operation since 2005.
Its main aim is to enable people with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible in their own homes.Â
Our Support Staff have the necessary skills, training and knowledge to meet individual’s needs and promote their independence. They respect service user’s rights to confidentiality, choice, dignity and privacy.Â
We constantly monitor the standards of service we deliver and use this information to continually improve and develop services to meet the needs of the people of °¬˛ćAƬ.Â
All service user have their support service reviewed periodically and will be asked to provide feedback on how well we are meeting their needs.
We aim to provide services to older people, people with learning/physical disabilities, sensory loss/impairment and people with mental health problems.
Services we provide are:
- Personal Care
- Domestic / Cleaning
- Laundry / Ironing
- Shopping / Chores
- Finance / Budgeting
- Socialising / attending appointments
- Cooking / Food Preparation

There are support staff who are trained to work with service users who require more specialist assistance, for example someone with a Mental Health problem or have behaviour challenges.
°¬˛ćAƬ County Borough Council operates a charging and method of payment policy. This will have been explained to you and/or Advocate when the Social Worker assessed your needs.

All service users are entitles to express their views. They are invited to give feedback on how they view the service we provide through filling in an annual questionnaire. By analysing the results we can see how well your needs are being met.
