Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
During this crisis we are still here to protect the most vulnerable in our society. Unfortunately abuse still takes place every day.
Abuse can take many forms and can happen anywhere - at home, in a residential or nursing home, a hospital, in the workplace, at a day centre or educational establishment, in supported housing or in the street.
• Physical abuse
• Sexual abuse
• Psychological or emotional abuse
• Financial or material abuse
•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;±·±ð²µ±ô±ð³¦³Ù
• Discriminatory abuse
• Institutional abuse
Any of these forms of abuse can be either deliberate or be the result of ignorance, or lack of training, knowledge or understanding. Often, if a person is being abused in one way they are also being abused in other ways.
If you suspect that a vulnerable adult is being abused, please contact our Safeguarding Unit on 01495 315700, or e-mail: dutyteam@blaenau-gwent.gcsx.gov.uk
