The Covid-19 vaccination roll out is continuing successfully across Gwent, and with recent news that the eligibility for a booster is to be extended it’s going to be a busy few months ahead for the programme.
The Mass Vaccination Centre operating at the General Offices in Ebbw Vale has welcomed thousands of people through the doors to receive their vaccination, and it will continue to play a key part in the programme going forward.
It’s vital to the success of the centre that the schedule runs smoothly, both to ensure that those attending the centre for vaccination are on time for their appointment, and to make sure our most vulnerable people have no issues in accessing the centre.
We have therefore agreed to section off a small area of the car park adjacent to the building which will be reserved for those attending for an appointment only. This is a temporary measure which will be in place on the days that the building is being used as a mass vaccination centre.
The area will be stewarded by Aneurin Bevan University Health Board staff, and only those who can prove they are attending for an appointment will be allowed to park. The remainder of the car park will operate and be available as normal. Please be aware that there is also parking available opposite the building and in the multi-story car park located on The Works site.
