Civil Parking Enforcement will start again in °¬˛ćAƬ from next week after being suspended during the Covid-19 Pandemic. From Monday (20th July) our traffic enforcement officers will again focus on town centres and other priority areas as the easing of lockdown and re-opening of businesses means more vehicles out and about.
Councillor Joanna Wilkins, Executive Member for the Environment says:
“Enforcing parking restrictions helps to ease congestion on our roads; promote road safety – especially around schools when they are open – and helps maintain access for emergency vehicles. We are cautiously easing out of lockdown and with Welsh Government approval and guidance we are starting to slowly reintroduce some important services which were suspended due to Covid-19 and the need to focus on more critical areas of work.
"We’d remind motorists in °¬˛ćAƬ to continue to be mindful of where they park, in order that we can work together to keep our communities safe and also to avoid any unwanted fines.”
