°¬˛ćAƬ’s Council Executive has today (14 April 2021) approved a report to pursue a funding application from a regional civic crowdfunding programme.
The civic crowdfunding programme provides a platform that enables local people, groups and businesses with ideas for improving their local area, to bring projects to life.
It has the capability to deliver projects led by the public that enhance social and economic aspects within °¬˛ćAƬ.
The innovative model improves engagement with the community and supports bringing new solutions to locally identified projects and challenges.
Regeneration Director, Richard Crook Says:
“The civic crowdfunding platform model has been successfully adopted by a
number of authorities across the UK. It is a fantastic opportunity for the community to lead on projects that matter to them. If the funding application is successful, °¬˛ćAƬ will act as a lead authority managing the programme.”
