What is the Children’s Grand Council?

The Children’s Grand Council meets once per term (three times a year).  It brings together two or more children from each Primary School in °¬˛ćAƬ.

The children learn about their rights and discuss the issues facing children and young people in °¬˛ćAƬ.  The points and comments they raise are able to influence decisions made by Council and partners.

It’s also an opportunity to take information and learning back to schools, have fun and to make new friends!

A good range of topics are covered, including climate change and biodiversity, the role of the Police and Crime Commissioner, healthy food relationships and the rights of the child.
